MATT’S RECOMMENDATIONS – 2017 GENERAL ELECTION
KEY CONTESTED RACES – Spokane Valley Area
A general word about the Spokane Valley City Council races: If you want to keep Spokane Valley conservative, pro-business, lower taxes, less government, and more freedom – vote for all of the below. We Believe We Vote’s interview process confirmed without question that all of their opponents are progressive lacking a Biblical and Constitutional worldview. Indeed, several have been linked to Indivisible and the local socialist movement. If that is not enough, all of their opponents are endorsed by the “progressive voters guide” published by the socialist FUSE Washington: https://progressivevotersguide.com/washington/2017/general/city/spokane-valley/
That makes things really clear. Let’s keep Seattle socialism out of Spokane Valley.
Spokane Valley City Council Pos. 1 – ROD HIGGINS The Mayor largely responsible for saving $16 million in project costs at Barker Road and helping finish the development of the industrial park bringing hundreds of jobs to the City. Rod’s opponent is the heir apparent to his grandmother and Spokane Valley Democrat Matriarch. www.reelectrodhiggins.com
Spokane Valley City Council Pos. 2 – CALEB COLLIER Caleb helped lead the charge to protect your gun rights when the Attorney General came forward with a plan to ban more guns. Caleb’s opponent scored a zero on We Believe We Vote. A zero. www.calebcollier.com
Spokane Valley City Council Pos. 4 – ED PACE A staunch fiscal and social conservative Ed is largely the reason the City of Spokane Valley has not raised property taxes in years. By contrast Ed’s opponent supported and actively lobbied for the 12-cent gas tax increase (making us the #2 highest gas tax in the country) and runs a left leaning newspaper. www.relectedpace.com
Spokane Valley City Council Pos. 5 – PAM HALEY A smart business woman Pam also helped to bring companies and jobs to Spokane Valley despite stiff competition in other areas of the state. Pam’s opponent is a self-admitted pro-choice progressive. www.votepamhaley.com
Spokane Valley City Council Pos. 7 – MIKE MUNCH An unwavering Christian conservative, Mike was given the Defender of Liberty Award this year and helped create and coordinate Spokane Valley’s emergency preparedness plan. Mike’s opponent is a longtime Democrat who has run unsuccessfully several times before.
Spokane Valley Fire Commissioner Pos. 1 – PATRICK BURCH
Spokane Valley Fire Commissioner Pos. 5 – WILLIAM A. (BILL) ANDERSON
