Welcome!

It is an honor to serve as your 4th District Precinct 4438 Committee Officer. In the State House, I lived by the motto: Less Tax, Less Government, More Freedom! My record demonstrated that I was not afraid to take tough votes or advocate for the policies that would ensure a better future for our children and grandchildren so that they could enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  When legislation came before me it had to pass three tests:

  1.  Is it constitutional according to the original intent of our Founding Fathers and our God-given unalienable rights?;
  2.  Can it be done more efficiently in the private sector?  and
  3.  Can it be done within existing revenues, rather than raising taxes?

That’s why I signed the “no new or increased tax pledge” and fought tooth and nail to get government out of the way of our small businesses so they could create jobs. As a Precinct Committee Officer, I will hold elected officials and the Republican Party to the same standard.

Fellow Patriots,
I believe two things:

  1. Government doesn’t own wealth – it gets its wealth from you and me
  2. Government doesn’t produce wealth – we, the citizens, do.

The Free Market is the greatest engine of prosperity for all Washingtonians and we must remove the shackles from our entrepreneurs and put those shackles back on “Big Government.”

As a State Representative, I believed in going on the offensive and our Freedom Agenda, was officially the most successful slate of conservative legislation in over two decades!

A vote for Matt Shea means you will have someone committed to representing you, and the right priorities – and I will always be – a staunch defender of the United States Constitution, property rights, gun ownership, and the sanctity of human life. I have always signed, and kept my word on a “no new, or increased tax pledge.”
